How it works

From your first pixel to internet history.

Mohac Pixel is easy to start and deep enough to play for months. Here is everything you need to know — explained in plain English, with no jargon.

01

Create your account

Sign up with email or Google in under a minute. New accounts receive starter energy and access to the global canvas immediately. No payment information is required and you can play for free indefinitely.

02

Open the War Zone

The War Zone is a 2000×2000 shared canvas. Pan and zoom to find an empty region. Areas closer to the centre are more contested — that is where the most aggressive teams fight for visibility.

03

Place your first pixels

Click any cell to paint it with your selected colour. Each placement spends one energy point. Free players regenerate one energy every 60 seconds. Registered accounts regenerate every 30 seconds. Premium accounts regenerate every 15 seconds.

04

Manage energy and cooldowns

Energy is the core resource of the game. Watch a short ad to receive bonus energy with a 3-minute cooldown. Large coordinated attacks usually require stockpiling energy across an entire team rather than spending it the moment it regenerates.

05

Claim land and build a profile

A claimed land is a rectangular area you own. Each land has a public profile page at /land/<your-name> with a title, description, link to your website, and visit counter. Lands are great for brands, communities, or personal portfolios.

06

Form or join a team

Teams pool their territory on the leaderboard and coordinate massive artworks. Use team chat and shared planning tools to defend regions across multiple time zones. Some of the largest artworks on the canvas were drawn by alliances of dozens of players.

07

Defend your legacy

Rival players can overwrite your pixels. You defend by re-painting, by activating shields on claimed land, and by responding quickly when your region is attacked. Push notifications and email alerts can be enabled in account settings.

Player tips that actually work

  • Start small. A 16×16 logo is easier to defend than a 200×200 landscape. Build reputation first, expand later.
  • Pick a colour identity. Recognisable palettes help teammates spot your work from across the canvas.
  • Coordinate time zones. Attacks usually happen when defenders are asleep. A team with global coverage wins.
  • Save energy for spikes. Spending energy the moment it regenerates is the worst long-term strategy. Stockpile for raids.
  • Document your art. Write a short description on your land profile — context turns a random shape into a story other players will defend with you.
